Mum says it's 850 acres...(I think that means it's REALLY big) and they have a herd of deer that I'm not allowed to chase (spoil sports...). It's really beautiful....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqCaCn4zlhkYwsEACUINlG6k7RzaKugqhIDkON3ZBZcI9vBm9seQ2klC-GarBWHi-XUDX4O3GtOuUkssfw17eyAKvKwV6zodnH2ZbTg_WMHlEB9ajpvFj4J8F1G-kC-Cr2fJh1ObC5800/s320/102_0770.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103838655931198194" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis4rnUhIZ3IIJkn2Ut3S_-Bva5EBqtiTC9DQkirVrYB9lIb0JaT0TApGp1khQwW-kE4sBAIhSOhtF2s4kyK0OmeCUCjd1-cNMux1j4b2cPjsUMurjE1coEoZrCpivIPkjj13x92FYnpds/s320/102_0772.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103838947988974338" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2mWKg-43A1Ab09ieElQcBT4PjSysboIJxaWvpJV7e012fei67wev3yhVJnUg5Lu5zkhh_z6A2TYTyCj-IiEbyv1tkVaA7HpTeOY3y2EF8qAQ9FgxLJ74H5CX06Fb0zqURTGup_CbJuHw/s320/102_0773.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103839270111521554" />
Anyway, I'll tell you all about the park another time. Last weekened was the Margam dog show - yey! Me, mum, Poppy and mum two went on Saturday to see the Open Dog show because mum likes to see the dog's showing and she said it would be good for socialising Poppy and good for me because I've got, what my dog class trainer calls 'a dog fixation' - if I see a dog I just can't leave it alone...I can't help myself!

So, when we got to the park we had to walk up the big hill to the big house where the family who used to own the park lived, once upon a time!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAIh-uyDnCqeW6TkzA6v9qLnkDYc2OTEz6ybaKEMU2Uf2t3lqiR3d-n8qK69NPdwocWljwTeEJoFuOc5a-Gz_62eD00kS1t_DOA6iRnWswaG3qSWaUVxmO0SIl9DRNfKLVCT15VVaQ1k4/s320/102_0777.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103837659498785490" />
Me and mum like to run up the hill, or at least walk pretty fast but mum two and Poppy we SOOO slow! I kept on stopping on the way up to look for Poppy and tell her to hurry up!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil86gbgHmbXZY_4MoEwFDgWdUw58iD4CQuSRR-AUXfP1XIgNE4kSnBIMwSlWg4qp-5vXdgL1vFE2dpOQr9uy6Xjufh6BAZnGvxjbstRBx6LuJFAmAaThiZScsOQ9Z6-1n2hYzuciYBuj8/s320/102_0775.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103837156987611842" />
When we got to the top I could see loads of tents, people and other dogs and I couldn't wait to go and have a proper look!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv9NGa9cmI4Qt0Eid3Dfsv2_HRVdDdghtDB5ltMr0FiS9CfBMU80p1dwF2mP6OqD8pcpVrmii9IVB60HdoDc07aSTza-DtZwbUi6sgKvZ50MJvBw6tBkYzdMRk5uRCuGiRqcNy7VT5spE/s320/102_0776.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103838308038847202" />
Mum didn't get many photos on Saturday because we were so so busy talking to other hooman and dogs. I got a bit over exicted because there were so many doggies to make friends with. I met four Newfoundlands, three like Pooka and one like Nanook - I realy like them and Mum loves Newfs. I also saw something else...I've never seen anything like it! There were two of them...I don't know if they were dogs...they were soooo HUGE! Mum has never seen me back away from a dog in shock before but I did...I felt a bit silly afterwards and went to make friends with one of them. He was nice, but his face was really hairy - like a big grey rug!

(Mum: *ahem* They were Irish Wolfhounds. I've never seen Toby looked so shocked in my life - it was priceless! He decided they were alright after a bit of persuasion!)

We didn't stay a long time because it was SOOOO hot and mum was worried about me getting overheated. I was really glad to get home to my paddling pool I have a new, bigger, upgraded model!! Woo hoo!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiqmcZfKq-6WnP8f9xlO2Zvo48aE4l44Ygr-HjdNl4gSmkkCXjzP_Vr-f9WJPNsYcgwMmgc87q8OwXlmNCddmxuBOk-vWa3LNoyxwEJrqqzDae-Ijxifj_0YdJz0x3BkqKY62ovwMnXg0/s320/DSC00171.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103836611526765234" />
So, on Sunday we went back again but this time it was just the two mums and me - I was a happy pup because I don't like having Poppy tagging along everywhere - she cramps my style! Mum was really excited about going on Sunday because the Welsh Newfoundland Activity Group were there doing displays in the big lake. I think that mum really wants a Newf - she spent ages with the other doggies (that was fun - I got to say hello to them all!) and her and mum two spoke to one of the hoomans about their club. We've been invited to go and watch them working the dogs at practice which should be fun! Who knows, in a few years time there may be another new addition to our pack!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Jot4-10DU8V360RiqPezRqVsklXamukgzJl6afsMbTe-P659ahikVmI1sibwXH9rG2j5lY94x3HJmmQQ5gGwail90vYH22sKGzMBXuURzc9N1YhkW3MDoChoOU3WU5ruTRVDV2JuC4s/s320/102_0780.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103840073270405938" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjCIOdTTrf-wp3Od8UgLXRtmTXTVNlRTDx4b98mtsVYO7jNqdT6559tYHdvYmL3lS18d0Tk7PaF-efRDlm8o6m5N5A2icNQhmERU07ixDEa7jNS8p5ihwgwq_fthvyAQZ4NJ1qrswTj8U/s320/102_0781.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103840365328182082" />
I was really impressed by the Newfie dogs - they are really good swimmers! What can I say? I'm a very bad pup...I haven't blogged for such a long time but first mum had exams, then I broke her computer by sitting on it, then I got a new sister...and well, you know! But I promise regular updates now that things are settling down into a regular routine.

First things first - I must send huge hugs and condolences to the parent's of my wonderful Airedale friend - Oscar. Me and mum were so sorry to hear the news, we're still in shock. I'm sure that Oscar is busy frolicking up at Rainbow Bridge - maybe he's met my big brother Tramp. I'm sure they'd get on famously. I've got loads of exciting adventures to tell you about so I'll be updating a few times in the next week.

Mum is taking me to a show tomorrow - just to watch, but it should be fun! There are going to by Newfoundland's swimming in my favourite lake - it'll be fn to watch them but I know I am sooo going to want to join in! Heh heh! The pups will be two weeks old this week...doesn't time fly?! Mum is still waiting for some new pics from the puggy lady because her camera broke and she had to get a new one - th horror!!!!!!!

I do have a photo of mummy Lilly with the pups, though they are only a day old in this picture. Aren't they sweet?
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigDBNkJAQ2JaDvvWX9-l4fO1pSljZreoiq_CAkg51LrCbIdzQaBUnqqV_ts6m4BTXqJsxEzQNttwlAHGNkBCHcymtata4JDDSHlsxtv2Mtd-H55RBc2N2c0uthgiL8400oKSfv0WCgXHs/s320/Lilly_sfirstbabies033.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5057264919603626882" />

I still don't know if I'm getting a brother or sister...I wish the mum's would hurry up and decide!!! There is a debate going on at the moment because if we have a boy mum gets the pick of the three boys, but if we have a girl we just have to have whichever one the puggy lady doesn't choose to keep. Tough choice!!!

As for names (Suki!!!!), a boy will be Percy and a girl will be Poppy.

Mum is very excited...I am too but I hope the new pug doesn't taunt me like Sunshade's little brother!!!!! I'll let you guys know when I have anymore puggy news.

licks,
TobyRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-29319684765143586492007-04-23T11:57:00.000-07:002008-11-12T22:48:14.075-08:00I love my granny!I love Granny! I think they're working her far too hard personally! I've been having a great time in this lovely weather though - as I'm sure all my British blogging pals have!

A very important announcement first - The PUG PUPS ARE BORN! Yey! I think that I'm going to be having a sister...I'll keep you updated!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqfdv0FDUqu1MuSroc9IK99JwP7Av50pdz46iBJYCFuUYxBWz3glkY5bbs3HhBgZzPgeuSSFsFBMpF3NgEVJvyw4v-I8PznwR8PA4H480tMA6rzlojHwfJr3uV6ZzXZpryK6Rlnise-r8/s320/100_0392.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5054114731994667346" />
Soo.....what have I been up to! Mum fetched me home today - I was soooo glad to see her! I missed her millions and millions and millions! I missed all my hooman family and my house so much even though I was only gone a day! The vet people and the nurses were very nice to me. All the ladies fell to my charms, but what do you expect? Hee hee!

I'm OK now but I have big shaved patches on my legs where I had big needles in my legs and a biiiig shaved bit on my tummy where the vet poked me and put a funny cold thing on my tummy (mum - she scanned him).
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDGODmQcE9MmsNKdqP8Eoq6D-d_U4gXn6Nis6HPICTGH2mLLqoakM1sS9xnUOUJV5WuQuAhy9Q2C2MyyW6M20ukj2kiwIxEFTpt-UeZQXe-QKn1RAt7SyhS7Jo91C3XjfnBiwYqCAosWA/s320/100_0354.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5050054797748059986" />
I had to stay in a crate with loads of other doggies around me so I was quite happy with a waggy tail and with the nice medicine and drippy thing in my leg I soon started to feel better. This morning the nice nurse lady took me for a walk and I went for a poo which was nice because I hadn't been for two whole days - I thought my tummy was going to explode!

Now that I'm home I have special tablets to take (again) and I have to stay on special Royal Canin wet food. I didn't know food could be so wet and sloppy! My boy is ill! On Monday he had some nasty diahorrea again and all last night he cried and moaned. This morning he didn't want to get up, he groaned when he tried to bend or lie down and he didn't want his walk. I took him straight to the vets and she admitted him for x-rays and to go on a drip because he was de-hydrated (he wouldn't drink). The vet scanned him for any blockages this afternoon, but they've found nothing, so they think it is just a bad bout of gastro entronitis which caused him so much pain this morning, especially because he wouldn't go to the loo (possibly due to the pain).

Anyway...he's going to be off his blogging for a while whilst we get him sorted out and all better. I'm really worried about my boy, as I'm sure you can imagine. He is being kept in overnight for observation - the longest he's ever been away from home. He should be home tomorrow afternoon and I'll give you all an update when I know anything.

Rachel
(Toby's mum)Rachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-80329245923855283292007-03-31T11:09:00.000-07:002008-11-12T22:48:17.108-08:00When you go down to the woods today...I went on a new walk this morning and it was lots of fun because ALL my hoomans came with me! It's usually just me and mum! There was a biiiig dark forest with loads of trees and squirrels and birdies for me to sniff and chase!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtEAkFFBx-5VKQ-sDRH9ikrjBWAqDAKgjU0q6b0TcsjiYawdzNAvvTr5_O-dQeGrtUUUll3Nvuc5rBQsgBb6XdcdLtQvlWTzIaKemsIbPhiDp5ir1ZS1bZrS2UqMdkEYTR2R1kNk1hfEo/s320/100_0320.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5048075582869555234" />
I was a bit dissapointed because I had to stay on my long lead. But I want to go out again now...and I only came in half an hour ago! Hee hee!

In sibling related news, mum is going to see the Pug lady again on Thursday...it won't be long until the babies are born! I'm starting to feel excited but a bit scared about the responsibility of having to look after a little puppy!! What if they don't like me? What if I don't like them?! I hope thy are as lovely as Suki - I think i'd be quite happy then! I was looking on the internet earlier to see if I could read some more about Pugs and find some videos of them and I came across this...it is scary! It made mum laugh but I like the quiet life - I never bark unless I'm told...I hope my little brother or sister doesn't do this!!!

Oh dear oh dear...Hee hee! I started thinking it must be a terrier thing, this posing, because I can't quite get the hang of it! I'm a gundog - I've got better things to do like retrieve things, point seagulls and roll in poo! Humph! And then Nanook starts posing so that puts pay to my 'I'm not a terrier' excuse!

Anyway, I thought 'I'll show her' so I've been trying my hardest to put in some good poses for photos - I'd like everyone to tell me what they think...have I got potential?

This is my serious, deep and artistic look....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHJE7kCfuXo1xY4zQxT0dlWJOyDm9qz7-8vuWJ_78IwHm7NI9fNjIzLiS6z1EVM5DDB6eOZ4PuQqx3wBbaHMDkkJX2godESh8xBM0SsgDA08aUKTNPE8HlQ22plyS8PbCL3P1oXtVKWnk/s320/100_0311.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5047729159397394370" />

My best 'I'm a good boy...I didn't chew the wallpaper - honest!' look...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYjSysMsw6h82SBgEhMt3BodVb9p70M-zuPYhj-JllFsd4_YXANFaQygkFlHDnJOxtz_ylXeL0993UTY3MryfN6H0eVcRFlwOZNszs1rDrgk2RPV36HS7cshyphenhyphen0uwty4QAOBfP1b_mVJLY/s320/100_0307.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5047729627548829650" />

My audition for Jaws Returns...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7-mmEVjga8gAW0J9d2FMnoGnQQxG1MsCfLXpptbCXoZ-LlcVs74zVOWbktBleoQ0-5d-34DUwc73LkkgsZFSmjXsix1J37NB7I9WyIRL0MjdPktEj8BFnTRPYK2D0skWun62JJLxhTWk/s320/100_0304.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5047730198779480034" />

Showing off my chest muscles...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgk7IX6vnxEvWd1XF1AC5iLwwDskrMTpofg-ir40d1eBqMFGmafA5ifaZOKo-pjw-xZvTO-VP9i1bYpPlj8NRumK_8hxqVNEY7109ENRYIjoV_D_1n2tIU4EvbVh0GscIar2ljYjMyqdpc/s320/100_0296.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5047730563851700210" />

Feed me, feed me!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixt3I3VwjxfEi8IVomzj5CGTOhWdEuDBHLqD0jPWBsJIfocHKt8QA9nT3fjHHTZRWXJhzNxACuxEJ9Re7syonhabJ1LdpQnmpedF9fXt_7grOQa6vTKC8-oRFfehiSoSWgLDe2bykUwMw/s320/100_0278.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5047731079247775746" />

And last, but not least...my Sexay look...hee hee
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjYompttmZPBFvurqCBYk6UVBC29KKIH3geA7n7oY3oA49MF5brFv127jzU30qkUF9wEL6QMFbdTC4jAEO2CWVse-U7q63d2ThSqQKRBrbX7uwVMYG82xRiz9b70od-cGtPWkBXdUzPuo/s320/100_0232.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5047731444319995922" />

What do you think guys?
(Mums note - he had to be bribed into most of these photos but he does have an inner show off it would seem!)

Licks,
Tobster
xRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-64399380415759086832007-03-27T09:44:00.000-07:002008-11-12T22:48:18.938-08:00Park-time!I realised that I'm always writing about going to the beach, which is usually my afternoon/evening walk but I never write about going to the park where I go every morning! It is such a nice place with loads of grass to eat! I love the grass!

Every morning I get up with Mum and have my breakfast - yummy Burns! Num num num!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw0OL2u0hVY2_ygU6tREgV1GHe3CojLsV4Hmv7wtHh8Ct6xocQxgvpmNWdLgaGcgr6aeguaOxACPVB_YTf1VpcFIspIZBQu7oyilvV5iHTbBmyoMcStnTHvUWDJOPha52r5MPUi9L4smY/s320/100_0211.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046517563502442946" />
Then I have a nap for about an hour while my tummy settles and mum has her own breakfast. Then it is WALK TIME! Woo hoo!! Look at my impatient face...mum spends far too much time clicking that camera machine and not walking me!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgUKb4flzxpevUkqS1nvWjRNm8HQgeQOX3tmdicx45VvUy4aTT5Ga-zAqwcxNWf8-AD3ZvOwHMl29wKdmwE4HrsHSbuODfTsN6Q5iXrncVJj9vfKaGoR4dsZ2RIWQY0tFBYZtfmuxiJ10/s320/100_0233.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046518272172046802" />
It takes a few minutes to walk from our house to MY park. Mum thinks it's important for me to walk on the streets because it keeps my nails short and teaches me to behave when walking around other doggies. It is sooo difficult to walk past them without stopping to say hello! I do think it's important too - otherwise I wouldn't get a chance to sniff where all the other pups have been leaving nice smells! mmmmm!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKLq9-s_pN5BqSWgQ0jgJ6koueBCPlChj06vraQdlMrUw5Z3upDU0raDbueRJ1e6V0Mybd7mNk2JQIcbEcDabI5QOlsnz0Rp4KZlcv-4ZwpTnx-RG7u-pxmINZSLcCLzVHT672IuZ1HE0/s320/100_0236.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046519023791323618" />
Once we get to the park I'm usually allowed off my lead to wander and smell things but I have to pay attention to mum or she dissappears - I still haven't figured out how she does it but she used to scare me by hiding behind trees and silly things like that when I wasn't looking! So I tend to keep a close eye on her these days just incase she goes and does something daft! Hoomans! Tuch!

There is a big playing field at the top end of the park where I go to train and play fetch every morning. It is at the top of this picture but I couldn't go in there when this was taken because some hooman boys were playing football. The cheek of it - in MY park!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkv4mfJvrHNqMOAekNiLz1zXjgVbE9aabBopdyIQ_pU8Cpe0h7GKC__VCaxWWr1rqkSBVbDJB9h9mShJrqVfOvZHT7XoyCtvwmqppjH1Rk82BQx9ZieSkXD6Vau4UV1gB9Q3UNyQ5Dbkc/s320/100_0237.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046520149072755186" />
Here are some more pictures of the park...it was looking especially lovely yesterday afternoon - it was sooo sunny!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFkHiW2OAzwbgQPYlVOHC5PxfKhswIxg_TVn4pJHmKhTJnRNCYcfloKbWO0p-zLT2ZZffTL5ceNv6urQTRomHmUK9ygFFHtATVL4fTVqG3qUz5xLPmiPLECA757FzAQCHMcgG-Or9LDTQ/s320/100_0238.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046520574274517506" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMwsxxS7KsLojoREbNqqcTS1WvcLJJqYbV5UNzbNNQKymvAfm5QdK124_Dll0ped5CXG1rAc9WAJLwFjSOF81kemIWy2lcJGsP0GvtlJHDmGgjJhqRlTvL9GvsYsUABBLnDzERavVENQ/s320/100_0243.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046521648016341554" />
This is me playing in one of the smaller fields...sorry for all the photos but I do like to show off my park - I think it's fab!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLALPKbwxELNP-G_ev2hb8JLA2Gda6QqSW7olr05OLTrKgzHvjs5nLl091ASlL4Vu-Gth5D4TOaktW0tnSZhrjasCxBAIhOw0J3H1udUDODrQzdZCLXaV1x8HnlePowipZ-brR7PjeGkY/s320/100_0240.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046520913576933906" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGwFq6Pm8ApVuvNnOnbaynh8nqX4-7g4vcTRdJeklHF8XTeQY_xCzmPhsS1z6ngQevFjjIhAOKEGhMfDP5irsyi5sER-kTQZb9CdQn1zE5SrzdOf6MHhHvkhAFDVNK9eXcVounyVcoj1U/s320/100_0242.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046521368843467298" />

This is the life - a shady spot under a tree and a good stick! The weather has been glorious so I've been out playing over the fields, running riot on the beach and I've been allowed back out into the big house garden (Well it's not really a BIG garden...). Mum said I've not been allowed out there because she and Mum2 have been planting things and tidying up the garden for the Summer. There was supposed to be some neew grass by now but Mum says we have to do another year without any. There used to be grass, before I was born, but my big brother Tramp dug it all up - the silly sausage! Who would want to dig grass when you can run around on it or eat it?!

Anyway, even though there isn't any grass I still had loads of fun running around with my toys and playing fetch.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSTeMA84A4NqQg9BWBGo7WRyt9EMASZd7GhFLDY062U0e9g6xV3YaljKFBE8jfPqA10M4evGLMkPPSvsPGyA23s2nFOIrjqXsN6z9iiQXKKoYEOloDtLgXrpMXwKqXsG9J8BHjXIOQ8E8/s320/100_0224.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046157606588332370" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Va4AaKst67ozl3k7R1HcvkJOB5byJfqzp7xnQoh3duD2lbMKu3pVPgZtdMZ6nXZe30LOhaXyvFRK7xrsPXQBEOyxGGhvfoMoG0TXtzUfNcQD-klLjDv4FZuOxGcysK_uEXRO0p8XrCw/s320/100_0228.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046157615178266978" />

And here's some photos of me at the beach.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-0oXEaULermC16Z4T8EPs2AXDotT90VrVuG4AhfgJg8AGEYCMR9jgE_WXpJfmr_06-Fy_SB2GVGUdR2uTcKN7SlqNrksRG1Y-8gHtUEajKBNn6Qn0f4SekXnwXC6tFA82l7FqohJRJw4/s320/100_0209.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046158736164731250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6VaDqFW9DBH8bpA43OULr1JiAju9k409bdoU5HeQqOgbLVX1YtzV8bldBkn1d89ThyphenhyphenYLYo83Dg8QHItoBwK5L1fIqoRKpDQrOj4CHvdh7bgBDiRVXmu4sbszSBcosmCBP_2tYidMORns/s320/100_0207.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046158744754665858" />
I just love the beach! I know I say it all the time...but I just love it! I love chasing my ball, and playing football with mum, and splashing in the sea! I'm also well known for pointing seagulls...mum sometimes wonders about my sanity - and my breeding! Last night I sampled some yummy Seagull poop when I came out of the sea - I can highly reccommend it.

As well as all that excitment Mum told me some very exciting news! On Saturday she went with Mum2 to visit a nice lady who breeds Pugs - you remember, those funny pig-dogs I told you about, and they liked her very much so hopefully I'll be getting a neew brother or sister at the start of June. The breeding ladys Pug, Lilly, is pregnant and looking very healthy so everyone keep your paws crossed! Mum says that Pug can have very different sized litters - anything from 1 to 6 puppies and they could be boys, girls or a mix so I don't know if I'm getting a brother or a sister yet! I am quite excited but I'm a bit worried too...I mean, I have to share my hoomans with another doggy! It does mean that I have a friend to play with, although it looks like Puggy puppies are very tiny so I'll have to be veery careful with it when it is little! This is what Pug puppies look like when they're five weeks old - they are so tiny!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqPp_1Vn-wLMYaD9CwWZeJYLuL_1MXUUFzAIb8VWNZ2ohPtlIUNejaMr8QtNee9JtAWQksdxEwMQA4EdZgH-oC7PUR0PBLrHmkCHEQOIljkp_6neXMXqJv44LsB0pukOtSaPi-pUpzW1o/s320/Holly's+pups_1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5046160187863677330" />

And this is Lilly, the glowing mum to be. I'm glad to report that I am feeling good and perky again! The nice vet man I saw yesterday said that the washing line I ate a while back (oops) had probably irritated my insides as it passed through me so he gave me an injection and some tablets for mum to give me. I was a brave boy and didn't move a muscle while he gave me the injection even though it REALLY hurt! I am sooo brave! :) I don't mind taking tablets because mum hides them in bits of chicken (she thinks I don't know - hee hee!).

Today I'm feeling much more myself - running round like a loony and going out on long walks. I even mustered up the energy to carry a big stick around with me in the park and I've been to the beach too! Yey!

Mum isn't such a happy bunny today though - she says it is almost a year since my big brother, Tramp, who I never knew, went to heaven. Mum has been making a video of him and crying so I've been giving her extra big hugs and kisses. He looked like he was so much fun - I wish I had known him. Here's a video of him - our mum misses you lots Tramp my man! Hope you are OK where you are...

Licks,
TobsterRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-8910434509004232242007-03-16T04:27:00.000-07:002008-11-12T22:48:19.873-08:00Poorly bad....Well, we've had a great couple of days here. The weather has been lovely, just like summer and I've been enjoying spending lots of time out in the fields or down on the beach which is my most favourite place in the world! Mum managed to get a video of me on the beach but it's not very good because she used her mobile phone and I was on my long lead because I kept on trying to chase after a border terrier that didn't want to be my friend - she was very anti-social...can't think why! Although I used to be scared of the water I now dive straight for it when we get on the beach...I still do a bum tuck away from the sea as it comes in though because it's a great game! The rock pools at the top of the beach are my favourite though!

I love playing with my squeaky ball on the beach too...but because I don't get to play with it in the house (because mum says I would chew it up! Me?! NEVER!) sometimes I don't want to bring it back! Hee hee! I'm a good retriever really...honest! I fetch mum everything...slippers, the phones, remotes...socks! What more could you ask!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-0I9LNjl-aUE8np9RpMjfsGERMsvJ8hOkkZFNKX8opXSu3h_qB-lMedAYdlpZnnxcpm9yVHsGx24j_omED9eRiumGTDu_PBbRC7oP1SJuKi2dAqnoyzz5ah8GlzysWpfL9vGt5j_olhY/s320/chase.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042489420325311218" />

Anyway...despite having these lovely few days yesterday I started to feel a bit poorly. I have a very sore bottom and had some really bad runny poos with a little bit of blood in so today I'm being starved which is flipping miserable! Though I do feel better not having anything in my tummy at the moment...Needless to say I'm feeling very sorry for myself and me and mum are trying to catch up on sleep because she had to sit up with me last night because I had to keep running for the loo! I'm going to have some chicken and rice tomorrow but mum said if I'm not any better by then we'll go and see the nice vet lady. I like her - she gives me liver treats...yum! I'm so hungry! Wah!

Lots of licks,
TobyRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-26642467104650555522007-03-10T13:51:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:20.157-08:00Abandoned!!Well...unfortunately for me and mum the new training class didn't work out. KC awards or not neither of us liked it one bit and none of the dogs were well socialised and a few were down right nasty. Humph! Anyway...if that wasn't bad enough, today mum woke me up at quarter to six! Wow! I was sleepy at first but it was nice to go out for a walk so early and it was nice an quiet, but I soon realised that something was going on becuase at 6.30 I was left on my own with my mums dad and mum had gone! She abandoned me!!!!! WAH!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqXWZQEU9ePfMQGbijhcMasr1F42elTPZpKEKiGchALxfBA5RNnd3ll5X2s31GElv1elNu7NQ0kdQNeUZIF82ERSEvYkU5V9oKnnA_5BuSeib0lu2Hc8gYRGan2WUjTIEogKXKuS9gi00/s320/100_0177.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5040418505485135010" />

Mum and mum 2 had been going on about something called 'Crufts' for ages and I watched it on the TV with mum on thursday and Friday nights and so I realised it was this big dog thing where loads of dogs get together and run around in circles with their owners. There were also some dogs jumping over poles and some doing something called 'flyball' which looks like SOOO much fun! Anyway...I was getting quite excited thinking that I was going to go and join in but they went without me! It's not fair! Maybe they just forgot me and they'll take me next time! I'm still not happy about it though!

Later pups!

Tobster
xRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-84362328864922747922007-03-03T12:11:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:20.288-08:00The Big GT!Mum told me some very exciting news today! Our wonderful Labrador forum holds their annual Get Together in August and there are usually somewhere between 100 and 150 hoomans and LABRADORS! And mum says we can go! Woo hoo!!! 150 labradors...can you imagine?! How cool will that be! Sooo exciting!!!

I'm just chilling out at the moment - I went with mum to University today to see some of her friends who work at the Egypt Centre because they haven't seen me since I was a little pup and now I'm 8 months old! Mum took my measurements on my 8 month birthday and I'm now 23 inches to the shoulder, 26 inches from the base of my collar to the top of my tail and I weigh about 30kg. Wowzer!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikRssztxERnqgM5rFJtf1qMMAfvgK49OUjQ-0wBS5IdEKPkxPJrPF_1nVRCEP37743qXTl0rZM5Ri0U_ory1irax7wNf3ceo-sLrq0WbP3DbdPuPLC-hjTRFY_RNrA1LBcWJ7GxLfqy8g/s320/100_0179.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5037795480641820722" />

Anyway...I'll write more in a few days but I'm worn out now so I'm going to settle down on my fave chair with a raw hide. Have a good weekend guys!

licks,
TobsterRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-47217765970626602592007-02-24T06:27:00.000-08:002007-02-24T06:57:21.073-08:00Obedience reviewSeeing as I'm starting a new class mum decided it was time to review my obedience training to see how we're doing...

My basic manners are pretty good - I never jump at people and I usually listen pretty well when I'm in the house. I listen pretty well outdoors too aas long as I don't get distracted by other doggies or exciting smells - then I get temporarily deaf! It's not my fault...it's just SOOO difficult!

I'm not so fond of doing tricks like rolling over and stuff though which mum was a bit dissapointed at because she was hoping to do some heel work to music training with me - but I just don't really enjoy it so she's never pushed me into it...I prefer proper gun dog work like retrieving dummies and sniffing out trails which have goodies at the end of them. I do one neat party trick - I can count to three! hee hee!

I was a bit overexcited when I was doing that...I get so excited that I try and guess what mum's going to ask me to do next before she asks to try and impress her...oops! I love training but mum thinks I'm a bit out of practice when I'm around other doggies so she thinks class will be good for me. I just can't wait!Rachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-83030576765824173862007-02-24T05:57:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:20.774-08:00Kongs, Kongs, glorious Kongs!Hey everyone!

I know...I've been a bad pup and not blogged for ages but it's not my fault! My mum has been hogging the computer to do all her university work and so I've been stuck tapping my paws and waiting for AGES! Wow...doesn't time fly! I'm having a great time the older I get though because, even though I am prone to teenage tantrums I've started to realise that the more I listen to mum the more freedom I get. We went out to a big new park today so I was a bit overexicted and pulled to try and chase after other dogs and some big duck type things that mum called Geese...but she said they'd eat me for breakfast so I stayed well away! I had to wear my Gentle Leader for a little while until I calmed down but once I'd got the inital rush out of my system we both enjoyed ourselves. I had a good game of fetch off the lead too...I love playing fetch!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm3yXLzYa53YYWoU5SeWtwtGqaTrnT5USegWlBL09b_4_16YLCWJYDG1wqVgkOZdcZ2_GkhVXJvgllRJQAJ8R1kfZJoGnR4LVW9nJZtIfKCcDcSkFbWqMmiTEty4_hToG2EmD2UKquyvI/s320/100_0183rot.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5035102075200164258" /> I'm also going to start going to a new obedience school. Mum has wanted me to do the Kennel Clubs Canine Good Citizen awards since she got me but couldn't find a club that did the awards. Just a few days ago we found a club that is just starting offering the KC awards so I'm starting there next week and I'm so excited! I just love training classes and hopefully I'll do my Bronze very soon. They also run agility classes there so when I'm old enough to start agility it means I won't have to go looking for a seperate agility club. Woo hoo! Isn't life great when you're a labrador pup....ABSOLUTELY!

Licks,
Teenaged TobsterRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-41973182064272051612007-02-04T04:26:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:21.458-08:00The beach...<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCFCNwQyRtLYGe6sey-vfc8JRMGLxo8qwnX3cpV3fIlhP4jm9lqpg46QWg9uLtvHxF3bXfIcMJvickcxTlzm_kka2KkHZyCLi1uFrPTM-ShFaYA22Di6P6Km401QMwcKNC9yagg9UnTDg/s320/100_0174+-+rotate.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5027655026537467106" />
Just got in from the beach so I'm beat but here are some pictures of me and mum having fun playing fetch and catch. All morning I caused havoc..hee hee - it's so much fun being a puppy! I started up by waking up and crying to get up at about 6.30am, which is the last thing mum wants on a Saturday morning (so she tells me...). So we got up and I think I must have got out of bed the wrong way because by lunchtime I'd stolen an unlimited number of socks and eaten a piece of one of mums Rachmaninov CDS....ooops! I hope it doesn't make me ill! Then, to top it all...mum left me in the kitchen for just under two hours and I pulled a bowl of papers and odds and ends off the unit (her own fault for not clearing it properly I say!) and shredded my little heart out. I don't really know why I did it - I've been on my own there for three hours on my own and never done anything of the sort...I just put it down to having a bad day!

On the bright side my new Buster cube arrived (Thanks to my buddy Oscar for suggesting my mum should get me one!) - I love it! Mum hasn't got a picture of me with it yet but she said I can have one to put on here and soon as she takes one. In more toy related news I have to go up a kong size to XL red and progress to Black large because a) I'm a big boy now andd b) I keep on tearing up large red ones! Ooops! Mum's not happy about that because they cost so much and says I'm a spoilt brat. LOL! I guess I am really!

I had a bit of a nasty experience in the week too. I was in the park with mum on my long line lead (I've been confined to it for a while because my recall was ggoing down hill!! My bad!) and mum saw a Jack Russell coming with her hooman. She put me in a sit-stay to try and keep me calm as the dog passed but I couldn't help it and I stood up to take a better look as she got close and the little witch sunk her teeth into my nose! OWWWWWW! The hooman told mum she was 'a bit nippy' - a BIT NIPPY! She was hanging off my muzzle and wouldn't let go! NIPPY?! Well, her owner got her off after what seemed an eternity and I figured out it wasn't that bad really so I tried to go back and make friends with the JR but my mum wasn't having any of that and she pulled me away to check that I was alright. I can't say I reccommend the experience but it could have been worse!

Thats enough for now - the beach is calling me!

Licks,
Tobster
xRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-50626871049582558982007-01-30T01:33:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:21.978-08:00What's a pug?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkL7UX4Tn9r18w80HAvJcjtn_pNjIR35gL4KX39IGU50ztTCcR-mQ4iK5oFGQUJJzTn8vxuUYCvy838myNv1S7wSe-BdnwY3cfI0utgJy7edgd_xKpJk8cMYpX6IGj9Zk3Pdgm6YGta0s/s320/100_0028.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5025755525711203474" />

Well...that's it - mum has started back at university so it means I have to stay in the house on my own for a whole four hours every day! WAH!!! I don't like being on my own, it's so boring! I do get nice kongs to do but they're so easy! Mum keeps trying to make them more interesting and difficult but I still emtpy them really quickly and then I don't have anything to do other than sleep and chew on my rawhide. I wish mum didn't have to go out...I don't think she really wants to leave me at home. She said to mum 2 the other day that she would take me to university if she could - maybe she should get a magic spell that could shrink me to the size of a chihuahua and she could sneak me in in her bag...though I don't think I'd like to be that small!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZw18oWOjwObfitJabglpaRVnrvPkNAS-E7mFDe2zYY5j5lgX-up-2nU97vxzcA23D0tG_H6TXq8qaDCKM_JRGRc_wJy32Bcg97rFEioZwVyjvllDB-n57E2u9_idR_p0TujPbIBZUSZc/s320/100_0024.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5025756242970741922" /> Anyway - being on my own gives me time to think about things the hoomans have said the past couple of days. I'm still learning to understand hooman talk - expecially when they talk extra fast - so I think about the things they've said whilst they're out...I mull it over and chew on my paw. Mum says it's a bad habit - like the doggy equivilent of picking ones nose...why would anyone want to do that when they could chew their paw?!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5rmVKjq5Yqx8n0jc8W65m1Y-BTysbwFLOqteW8ZQixyXag3Y0pwNAEyXULV3TNt2i9NHOTMVe1lHLf1tBU-sqQXYJkV41-Lg8wLi97sA0v8FAFuK5qxdjo4UpQHDR7xdanmO7MgRRMGw/s320/we_three_pugs.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5025757368252173490" /> So, yesterday I was chewing my paw and lounging around...mulling over this word I keep hearing - PUG. What is a pug when it's at home?! Mum says that I might be getting a new brother in the summer because mum 2 wants her own 'lap dog' so I've been wondering if that's what a pug is? Is it a dog? I looked it up on the internet and found a picture...but it doesn't look like a dog to me - looks more like a funny coloured pig with its curly tail! Hee hee! I'm not sure about this whole thing but it would be nice to have a friend to play with!

Hmm...that's enough deep thinking for one day - time for a nap.

licks,
TobsterRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-29215736701990459682007-01-26T07:59:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:23.548-08:00Exciting afternoon outI've just come back from a very exciting walk and I couldn't wait to tell everyone about it - it was so cool!

Mum said we were going for a walk so I sat nicely and waited while she got her big rain coat and hat out (it's very rainy here today) and then we went in the car with mum's dad. I watched out the window and thought we were going to Porthcawl to see Uncle Chris but mum said we were going to Kenfig. I'd never been there before so I got really excited!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Yzqnk1QNzShCEzY4Gn0sx-3JzQeFayxiktgZMEe-5ODIFWd1JTZNxqv-NgHfX8lThIPVWJzv2TRhGmaIijNhC1jYmLhlRuuT49NEBU_vP7amO6TFmW4QOtHPQt0vP0dVYPCLMEVrhxs/s320/100_0110.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024373357990710274" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLKIfoDWWjVRYIzyyHS8RYfOCSo-Cm8C19lgqmMjk3eUJVaQpvr7jqPUErlqSRab8lzkCsWroWrXWNe-ARKFNSfByGdOx4QHmsB5E40sZBEgfS8mFYyNwaLwDSX7i0kkCIaMTv-dOUeao/s320/100_0109.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024373950696197138" />There were loads of nice smells and lovely things to look at but mum kept on calling me back to her all the time because she said I have to learn to go back every time she calls not just when i feel like it - but I was soooo excited I forgot sometimes...oops! Last night was the second night that I slept in my bed in mums room without my crate. I didn't know what to do at first but when mum told me 'bed' I realised it was just the same but my bed wasn't in the crate anymore! Silly me! I woke up at 1am and woke mum up by crying because mum's dad came home from his night out and put the TV on downstairs. I don't like it when my hoomans are up and about and I am not so I wouldn't go back to sleep until he came upstairs to say goodnight. Then I woke up at 4am and poked mum with my nose because I was cold and I wanted a cuddle but I went back to bed like a good boy and went straight to sleep.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKKzHNXSc8itY5m9CohHVEMzEcef9oWPuOL8Am3HCpC3Z1axpfHt-JQ94vItxWRg66u7E3Og0KNH3L9K04LVQWnq85_Jpa9nJbaTrp0Slty94y1M93SVsWczfAekK5zf3Qr1lteaoYVe8/s320/000_0572.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024283511569845122" />When I got up mum wanted to stay in bed a little bit because I'd woken her up so much in the night so mummy 2 (my mum's mum) gave me breakfast and put me in the puppy run for an hour in my kennel with my nice snuggly blankie and some kongs. I was going to go back to sleep...but then I smelt that smell....

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbfObAOL7N80fM8XQiU9RengHY3yTJhUHTBL4fQlWaR4q8WuqduiarXpBnMtQL4dT0uBoYAnR1bEqHhBIcmRnHJTg4OEoJg2MdTFcuWG3u_kdJ1EBAVahZEzt_9aMHwP-Jw3CD8fxRq4o/s320/100_0104.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024367989281590242" />Mum had asked mum 2 to make sure that any bags of poop that were left on top of the kennel were out in the big bin at the bottom of the garden or I'd jump up and steal them...you see I have this unfortunate 'thing' for poo...When mum got up she looked out the window and surveyed the carnage...I'd pulled the bag of poo off the kennel and torn it to shreds...it was not pretty. I felt so guilty as I watched mum cleaning it up but it seemed like a good idea at the time!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKNMqYBMLlX8r7rAhp597ve6q6_k5cqZsuJp6BEaLVrwlWjODClv3M3-MBiHf-MwocM2GjWpIpDZh6tMw3phb0f4A9sF3jmVdGQbtWZ6C50Pr4lEoMJdQcGHkNVJRKQ7zziOqk1bKc_0Q/s320/100_0103.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024368474612894706" />

I had quite a trauma the other day so I blame the poo eating on that - I had to go to the vets...I know that word but it doesn't bother me like some dogs. Even though I lost my furry plums there I still love going because my vet always gives me nice liver treats and I get to see other dogs! Mum 2 took me because mum was teaching her guitar pupil at home. When we got there she weighed me on the big scales (she seems to like doing that) and I weighed in at almost 29kg! Woah! I'm getting to be a big boy now!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMYXbro69uFG46PyKgU7zmcZY7bIv15R_XahqI2gK51FPYxylHbs6xTT_D8mwnY8gfMosOVMd2ROxuMwGs3w5iCRpHK1TrHLDjFlWKBiNGeX8CyMhKiiqVJaL0aZZ2VPSDVFSy0gdGgQc/s320/100_0045.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024285268211469202" />

The nice vet lady made a big fuss of me but then she started poking this big metal thing down me ear...I didn't like it at all!! She said that I'm a big baby...humph! I bet she wouldn't like it if I poked one down her ear, especially when it's sore. Mum 2 said that I've got an 'inflamed' ear and the evil vet lady said I've got a mild infection and mum has to put drops in my ears twice a day and I have to go back and see her next week. Those drops are a very nasty business but I'll tell you about them again! When we got home my mum was upset when mum 2 told her because my big brother Tramp (who isn't with us anymore) used to get really bad ear infections so mum is always careful to clean my ears well once a week but I've still got an infection from somewhere. I gave her big licks and tried to tell her that it's not her fault and that I'm OK - she seemed to cheer up then.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihDOoouq3wzkXpSLnM3mV-K2IMgvfCJ76kZXoW7g_S7_NAxvcZEDqhYcD7g32m6_U_C3FMCI9IBERb5JOon6wwD5orW9C9yyw26sssV9rE7hP76GoDdpmUcY86Iohfg82OOsBtWeNfu4Y/s320/100_0070.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024291573223459778" />

I'm at home now and I'm curled up against mums foot after my walk...it's my favourite place in the whole world to sleep...this is the life!

Lots of licks,
TobyRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3584916123927039569.post-37345909346594802442007-01-25T07:18:00.000-08:002008-11-12T22:48:24.331-08:00Obedience<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI2ZGdxyDWQe5plLcN1bn0G74hQY4YPYEuYaMzP66WjHUO4Q7JeRsQSLSAINmYxsb5F9FHGrrPwINOq_yDapHpgxK1n4Xbb1pvOVt35-AoBxFFrYIs_A9Ab5fKEHE6U_txRMfR4nDAdmE/s320/IMG_0507.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5024001912039082866" />
I love obedience work! I really miss going to classes. Mum worked hard with me since I was eight weeks old and by the time we started puppy socialisation I could do all the basic obedience exercises. I loved puppy socialising as I love nothing more than playing with my friends.

After a few weeks there we moved to big dog class for basic obedience. I loved going to play with my friends Henry the labrador, Jack the springer spaniel, winston the staffie and Ben the Giant Schnauzer but I started to get really bored doing sit, down, come, stay over and over when I could already do it. Humph! So we finished out course in basics just before Christmas when I went to have my little furry plums chopped off (wah!!!!) and we haven't gone to any more classes yet.

Everyday mum takes me to the field behind our house and we play fetch and practice long stays, directed retrieving, send-aways, and a lot of exercises with only hand signals or whistle commands. I love doing this but what I really don't like is walking to heel. I'm getting really good at it now but I'm still only a little boy and I don't want to walk glued to mum's side round the field for ages when there are interesting smells to be smelled!! when I'm on my lead I don't have much choice but when we work at off the lead heel I try and trick her by going in the opposite direction from her when she turns - it's loads of fun! But mum says I have to stop doing that because she won't take me to intermediate obedience until I sort that out because most work in the intermediate classes is all off lead. She's also a bit worried that I'm too young - I was the baby of the basic obedience class and I haven't got as long an attention span as some of the older doggies but I really really wanna go! Guess I'd better start listening to my mum more eh?

Off for walkies now!

Licks,
Toby
xRachelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06887795191234808355noreply@blogger.com2
